A happy, fun filled, caring room.
The Cottontails room is a follow on room from Bunnykins, in this room children are encouraged to share, and take turns, in an atmosphere that is warm, friendly, bright and airy; where children are able to build independence and develop confidence in these important years.
A special room where staff share new experiences as children begin to explore the world around.
We encourage positive relationships with both children and their grown ups. Learning is play based and fun. We discover lots about the world around together with our adult carers.
A room where staff care about the small triumphs that happen every day.
A gentle introduction to the nursery at this stage is important as often it will be the first time away from mum - a free 2 hour session is offered prior to starting permanent sessions - these sessions can gradually be built up if required. Potty training generally starts in Cottontails Room, this again is upon discussion with parents.
A room where we continue to build on the steps made in Bunnykins.
We continue to explore the main outdoor area and enjoy all the exciting experiences to share outside, always with the security of familiar staff by our side.
Children in Cottontails have a sleep period after lunch if necessary. Each child has their own little mattress sheet and mattress.
Transfer to the Squirrels is carefully planned accordingly to each child needs so that the move goes smoothly and will not cause any distress to the child.
